VI. I interviewed two individuals to see what their response would be to my (our) plan. Their responses are as follows.
Carl Hajec Mr. Hajec felt that smoking should be banned in all restaurants. He thought that in restaurants, with kids, it was not fair to them to be inhaling second hand smoke at such a young age. Even with smoking and non-smoking sections, smoke still travels throughout the restaurant and affects everyone. Mr. Hajec is alright with the smoking in the workplace law as long as people observe the 50 feet and do not smoke in the building or close to the entrance.
Roxanne Horvath Ms. Horvath felt that smoking in restaurants was not a big deal. It would be nice to allow smoking in restaurants and it would keep people happier. She also felt that smoking should be allowed in bars, especially bars with no restaurants because most people there will be at least 21 years of age and know what they are doing to their body being there.

VII. My (our) answer, based on our research, to their objections and concerns are:
We could amend our proposed law to allow smoking in Bar-only facilities, as minors under age 21 are not likely to be there. Smoking in the restaurant will be allowed as long as restaurants follow the proper protocol. States with stricter laws on smoking, like where it is completely banned, will still be enacted over this federal law.
